Harry Hwang
Clarinetist
Currently serving as Second Clarinet for the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera.
Former associate member of the New World Symphony and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and participated as an alternate with the National Repertory Orchestra.
Served as the Clarinet Fellow at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and performed at the PRISMA Music Festival in British Columbia, where he was also a semifinalist in the annual Concerto Competition.
Served as Principal Clarinet in the new critical rendition of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, which received critical acclaim from the media and special mention from the Chicago Tribune Magazine.
Performed with New World Symphony, Houston Symphony, New York State Ballet Orchestra, Ann Arbor Camerata, and Merced Symphony.
Earned a Bachelor of Music (BM) degree from the University of Michigan with a full scholarship, a Master of Music (MM) degree from the Eastman School of Music with a merit scholarship, and a Professional Studies (PS) Certificate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
